Irradiation and more intense muscle contractions
- The thicker rings stimulate much more muscle activation in the hands and forearms and in the upper arms and throughout the upper body. It works by the principle of irradiation. When you forcefully contract a muscle, the surrounding muscles also contract. So to get a maximum contraction in your biceps, for example, you also need to contract your forearms to the maximum. Of course, more muscle activation means significantly greater muscle and strength gains.
- Benard ring training automatically trains your hands, fingers and forearms at all angles. If you're doing dips, the Benard Rings will train your hands and forearms in a completely different way than if you were doing pull-ups. Other grip training methods, such as pincers, can also be helpful, but they are one-dimensional and train the hands and forearms the same way over and over again, which can lead to imbalance and injury.
- Benard rings also perfectly reproduce the natural function of the human hand: lifting heavy and uncomfortable objects. Humans have evolved to use their hands to climb trees and rock faces, carry logs and animals. Benard rings are a great way to replicate this.
